New Boston Cemetery- New Boston, Massachusetts

Several months ago we received an email from a viewer of our website. She
had told us the story of a haunted cemetery in New Boston Massachusetts. She
said that for as long as she could remember she had heard stories about a
shadow figure that walks through the cemetery. She herself had a brush with
the shadow. She wrote that her and several friends were looking for some
adventure one evening and decided to go to the cemetery and see if they could
meet up with the shadow that everyone had talked about. Around 9pm she
explained one of her friends said she saw a set of legs walking through the
graveyard. Puzzled and semi scared she wondered if it was true until all three
people heard a noise sounding like a grunt, when they all looked at the area
where the sound came from they swear they saw the large black figure standing
there about 20 feet away from them. She said they ran to the car never to return
there. She had asked us to please check it out.

We packed up our cars and set out for New Boston. The drive up Old Route 8
into Massachusetts was pleasant. New Boston is bordered on the south by
Roosterville, MA, Colebrook, CT and Norfolk, CT. You have to pass through
Roosterville before you arrive. The cemetery is located just a short way from
the New Boston center general store on Route 57 west.

We found the cemetery which was quite large and filled with stones many from
the early 1800's. Several were grown over with vines and shrubs, we found one
which was growing into a tree. We set up video cameras with infrared boosters,
ran standard tests, took hundreds of digital pics and generally just looked for the
"shadow man". Our group broke up into two groups and worked both sides of
the cemetery. While running tests we did hear what sounded like a grunt. Both
groups which were several hundred feet apart heard the same sound at he
same volume. We thought maybe it could be wildlife such as a deer or bear, but
why did we both hear it so loudly being so far apart. Another strange thing is
Todd our sensitive saw a figure standing in the east side of the cemetery and
when he went over to check it out he said he heard footsteps on the hard
ground.

Later that evening we packed up and headed home. Upon reviewing our video
we found the grunt we all heard never was picked up on our camcorders. We
also picked up some strange mist in one picture. All in all as a group we feel
there is something strange that may be going on in this cemetery and we are
looking forward to revisiting it soon!
