Little Peoples Village - Middlebury, CT

Little people's village has been one of the most talked about "haunted"
places in Connecticut for quite some time.
From books, to web blogs, there is always a theory about exactly how
haunted this village is, and even more stories
about its history. Some believe that the little peoples village was a sanctuary
built for pint sized "demons" who was lorded over by
an eccentric woman (or man depending on which story you read) built for her
by her spouse, complete with a "throne"
which if anyone sits in it, they will perish in either 1-3- or 7 years.

Northwest Connecticut Paranormal Society decided to take a hike to the
village to see for ourselves. The village is a little off the beaten track, but
easily accessible via a small access road.  At the time of our visit, there
were no visible no trespassing signs.  We made the short hike from our cars,
and noticed nothing out of the ordinary. We found the opening in the woods,
and headed up the overgrown trees, further into the woods.  A little ways
into the woods we located the long abandoned village of the little people,
well, whats left of it.  The village is in ruins, and it is clear that this settlement
is now used as a place for people to drink beer, and whatever else it is that
they do. The village is definitely a site, there is really only one main little
structure left, which is an incredible site.

The architecture is quite intriguing, to say the least.  There are also several
little foundations as well as many holes throughout the floor of the woods,
something to be extremely careful if you venture out there.
Further into the woods we located the infamous throne. Up to this point, none
of our members have felt anything paranormal, nor did we catch anything on
either video, or photo. A few of the members were even so comfortable in
the village that they decided to take a chance and have a seat in the
thrown...Unfortunately..we cannot advise as to the legend of death becoming
anyone who dares sit in the throne, due
to the fact that it has only been three days since the event.  We will follow up
on the members status at 1, 3 and 7 years to let you know if there is any
truth to the cursed throne.

We did enjoy our adventure to the little people's village.  At this point, our
team has no proof of anything paranormal in these woods.  If anyone has
had any experiences at the little peoples village, we would love to hear about
them.
