Letters from friends
Hello,
My name is Emily, I'm from New Hartford. I would just like to let you all know that I think what you do is
inspiring. I am 14 and what you do is inspiring to me, I have a profound interest in the paranormal and in
psi. I wish that I could help you all out somehow, but I have very little experience. Keep up what you are
doing, I love your website! ^_^
Emily, thanks for the comments! We are based here in Torrington and have a member from New
Hartford also. We just got done investigating the Yankee Pedlar last month and we will be investigating
a Historical Inn this month in Woodbury where reports of a old woman has been reported in the
basement for the last 100 years or so, cross your fingers for us and hope we get something! When you
are 16 you can join us on an outing if you would like! Hope you are having a good summer, John
Hello, my name is Steve and I live here in the Litchfield area. I always was interested in the paranormal.
I was wondering how I could be considered for membership of your group? I have a camera and
several other items that could prove useful to your group. I also have many computer skills. Please
take the time to read this email and respond to me, thanks so much- Steve
Steve, thanks for inquiring about the group. If you truly want to be a dedicated member to our group,
attend a monthly outing with us and meet the group. We usually keep the residential investigations to
3-8 members, but if you are interested we would be happy to meet with you and talk.
To Regina from Chris [Goshen]
What was the most frightening thing that you have experienced in the paranormal field?
When I was visiting my mother in her house located in Torrington, I witnessed a door opening
on its own and a figure standing in the window when I was outside. Also, my mother’s bathrobe
then burst into flames spontaneously. The strange thing is that the robe was burning from the
inside out. Luckily she was not harmed.
My name is Josh, I'm 23 and from Torrington.  I have always had a fascination with the
paranormal ever since I was small and experience an old lady in my home.  It turns out she
was a woman who rented from my grandparents and passed away in the house.  Later
when i lived in an apartment in Hartford I would continuously see/hear and experience
strange happenings; I believe it was the spirit of a man and young boy.  Anyways, I haven't
had experience with "ghost hunting" or investigating, but really want to try it out.  I have
visited some local cemeteries but never had the gaul to investigate on my own, nor have
the equipment to do so, other than my camera, eyes and ears.  Unfortunately many of my
friends are not into or are afraid of investigating the paranormal.  I'd love to come out with
your group on an investigation and get my feet wet so to speak.  Thanks for taking the
time to read this, and I'm looking forward to your response.
Josh, you have exactly what we are looking for! People really don't need much more than
a camera as long as they have the interest! As with others who write I will put your email in
my file and let you know when our next monthly outing is. We truly hope to see you there!
(NOTE- Josh is now a strong member of our group)
NWCPS
3/28/07  Dear NWCPS,

I know you get these letters everyday but I feel this is important, I live in Lakeville
Connecticut and I know my house is haunted and really need your help. I was sitting
at home by myself waiting for my husband to get home. It was the middle of the day.
The sun was shining through the windows. The way our living room was set up, the
couch was on one side of the room and in the middle of the room was the chair and
directly across from the chair was the tv.

I was sitting in the chair bored out of my mind wishing someone was there. Out of the
corner of my eye, I thought I saw someone sitting on the couch. I turned my head and
there was nothing there. I thought nothing of it.

The second time it happened (about 5 minutes later) I turned my head to see what
was there and it had disappeared again. By now I am a little freaked out, but not much.
I had already known the house was haunted by little things being out of place,
sometimes we come home and our 100 lbs oak table is moved, we heard footsteps
and doors open by themselves. I am not a person who is scared of ghosts and have
always believed in them.

This third time that it had happened, I saw him out of the corner of my eye. I thought
to myself that everytime I turn my head fast to look it disappears.

This time I turned my head very slowly and I saw him clear as day, looking straight at
me. I get chills to this day when I think about it. As soon as he realized that I actually
saw him, he vanished.

He was a child, no older than 13, he had blonde hair and freckles. He wore a white
shirt, and a brown vest. Brown knickers, white socks to his knees, and brown shoes.
He also wore a brown hat.

I dont know what time he came from, but if you have ever seen the show, "Oliver",
then he looked sort of like those kids. This first happened last summer but recently
he shows himself almost daily. I think the poor spirit of this child just wants company
because he is always letting us know he is there. I believe he is very sad. I could
never find any information on this house, but it is a very old house and there is a
historical marker right outside in front. It used to be house of some governor in the
early 1800's. I would love it if your group could come and do some kind of
investigation or cleansing. I feel this boy needs help to move on. Please contact me
ASAP by email or if you want my phone number please ask.

Thanks, Jennifer
