in Connecticut. He said he had gone to a nightclub here in Torrington and the bartender mentioned that she
had experienced possible paranormal activity. He said he was just starting out with his group called “Nutmeg
Paranormal” and didn't’ really have much equipment and asked if we would help them with an investigation.
We first contacted the owner who told us he believed his club called “Snapper Magee's” was haunted. He
claims several staff members had experienced seeing and feeling unexplainable things. The basement was
the strangest he said where almost all people that go down there feel a presence. He went on to say he had
heard that the place was used as a brothel and may have been a speakeasy back in the day.
We agreed to do an investigation and research the property to try and see if any of the claims were true. We
decided that a Saturday after closing would be best for everyone. We arrived at 2am with several members
along with Jeff and a few of his group. We set up our DVR with cameras in the basement, at the bar and up on
the vacant second floor.
We ran basic tests such as temp readings, electric magnetic field sweeps and also Mandi took a group to the
basement for an EVP session. We wrapped up early the next morning and went home. The following evening
several member revisited the second floor where
Rather than trying to make a story of the investigation, I will cut straight to the facts. A member of NWCPS was
in contact with a Torrington Historical Society member. The woman told us that there was nothing on record
that the Water Street business was ever used as a brothel or as a speakeasy. She did say that possible
gambling activities happened there from the 40’s on. As for the actual investigation our group collected no
evidence that would lead us to believe there was any paranormal activity.
Our main concern is that the structure holds very high EMF (electromagnetic fields) throughout the place. The
second floor has several hot spots which appear to be old wiring problems. On the main level high EMF fields
were recorded by the bar and even outside on the sidewalk. In the basement we couldn't’t find any areas
where there was a normal reading. The detectors pretty much were buried throughout.
EMF fields come from many things such as cell phones, microwaves and faulty electrical wiring. High EMF
fields are proven to take a toll on the physical body we get headaches, feel tired, hallucinate, and often
develop immune system disorders when a constant EMF is present.
As the body begins to break down from the overload of disruptive frequencies, the immune system is
frequently the first to dysfunction. Many of the immune system disorders today (allergies, Chronic Fatigue
